Margaret Bridges
Owner, Certified Dog Trainer, Dog Behavior Expert
Margaret is a certified dog trainer and dog behavior expert based in Indianapolis. A nationally recognized trainer, Margaret has a lifelong passion for understanding how dogs think, feel and behave, and for helping people build relationships with dogs that are both safe and deeply connected.
Margaret is a Certified Professional Trainer. Her education includes hands-on study in Chicago and ongoing training with respected leaders such as Chad Mackin, Jason Vasconi, Heather Beck, Jay Jack and Mark McCabe.
Her specialties include basic and advanced obedience, reactivity and aggression cases, separation anxiety, pack and people socialization, puppy development and canine body language analysis.
Margaret also breeds and raises Goldendoodle puppies and competes in agility with her dogs. Her work is grounded in ethical, relationship-centered training, blending deep technical knowledge with practical tools for reading body language, understanding reactivity and building safer, more responsive partnerships with dogs.

Work Comprehensively
We evaluate all of your dog's behaviors to understand how we can work efficiently to modify behavior, teach commands, learn how to socialize and deal with distractions.
Train Your Dog, Then You
Our programs are not only about your dog's behavior. Once your dog knows what is expected to be safe and confident, we will show you how to help your dog be his or her best self.
Provide Follow Up
Once we teach you how to communicate with your dog, you can come back for more real-world practice in group classes. You and your dog can continue to hone your skills, get feedback, apply real-world training and socialize with other dogs.

What training do you offer?
Purpose Driven K9 provides professional family dog training, puppy raising, and behavior modification for a wide range of problems and goals.
Puppies 8-20 weeks old: Puppy Preschool Program is the best way to get started!
Dogs 16+ weeks old: A 1-hour Professional Evaluation is the best way for us to assess and determine the best training options for you!
How long have you been in business?
After studying in Chicago and Columbus, Ohio and getting her Certified Professional Trainer certification, Margaret launched her company in 2015.

We have a new location, east of Madison Avenue on East Thompson Road on the south side of Indy:

Do you offer Boarding?
Boarding is an exclusive service for our training graduates. Boarding with us guarantees your dog won’t backtrack on their training as it includes:
- Refresher leash training
- Group place stay practice
- Dog socialization
- Daycare (if staying on a Wednesday)
- Exercise
- Walks
